The Series X/S’ biggest problem is also it’s biggest benefit: it’s not meaningfully different from the Xbox One. It’s just faster and prettier. I know that could ostensibly be said about any new console generation, but the change this time around doesn’t seem as immediately impressive. It doesn’t have any killer apps…

So if you buy this game on disc without an Internet connection it’s going to have serious game breaking bugs that are enough to delay release by another 3 weeks? Why even print the game if it's not ready?

I think in Nintendo’s world the concept of limited quantities of items being released for limited times is supposed to be a fun and exciting thing for their customers... And it is, if you’re one of the people who get one.

Also they get trapped in the game as their evil undead character and their minions gain sentience, worshipping them as a god while constantly attributing their actions to genius when they really have no idea what they’re doing but they’re too afraid to correct them for fear they will turn on him

Unless they updated it to the decima engine it's the version of the engine before it got that name, so they share DNA but Kojima Studios worked with them to do a lot of work on it for DS.

Cyberpunk didn’t take money from a bunch of normal people and publicly fail to meet every single goal it set for itself for years at a time. Granted, it has already been delayed twice and could still very will put itself in the same spot.

And rocket league is still available on Steam for those who purchased it already, but like those games that's no longer the actively supported version of the game.

They already did something similar. They bought the rights to free half-life mods and turned them into paid games. See: Counter-Strike and Team Fortress.
