I often question from what place statements like that come from, but on the same note I think it’s worth bringing up. Cultural exchange is weird and in our culture we are often worried about cultural appropriation and insulting depictions of other cultures but it goes both ways. If an American company wants to use

Libertine in this case probably doesn’t refer to libertarianism. A libertine is someone who acts freely without concern for others. Someone who is socially and morally “free.”

Care to elaborate where this consensus is coming from? The game isn't out yet so it's hard to imagine there could be that many voices that feel this way.

I found this out after I wrote my post. I still stand by my rationale, but given the context I don’t think there’s much to argue about how racially charged it is. It’s a hamfisted excuse to draw klansmen hidden under the plausible deniability of a card intentionally designed to invoke race.

I don’t even know why you’d make this specific argument. It’s clearly alluding to the KKK in the design.

I don’t think it would have hurt to include images of all of the cards and brief explanations of why they were perceived to be racist. My hot take here is that I can totally get behind not wanting to invoke racism in your game when you have no point to make and understand why they’re doing this but that in the case of

That’s a mighty reach, considering the card is called “invoke prejudice” and is about killing creatures of other colors than yours.

The physical copy of FF7R had a short install period from the data disk and booted right into the game with the play disk. If there was a day one update it was so short that it managed to download and install in the 10 minutes I had walked away from it.

I pre-ordered a physical copy of the Deluxe Edition 7 weeks ago. Got mine on the 14th. I didn’t even know people were scalping it.

This is a tough one, because on one hand the Nazis were a terrible force on this planet and their contemporary adherents are abhorrent people. On the other hand it’s a little late to call this “too soon,” given about every other conflict up to and including contemporary ones get irreverent double-takes.

MSRP is $60. What you paid is irrelevant to the discussion.

I'd buy that Microsoft was doing this at the behest of their players if they included rechargeable batteries and made the controller capable of recharging normal rechargeable AA batteries. As it stands they're just cutting costs.

That's the problem. People whose jobs don't provide financial stability generally aren't financially stable. You can't just quit and in areas where GameStop's shitty health policies are ruining lives places aren't really hiring. I don't know if you really understand how bad things are in a lot of the country.

I don’t think it’s fair to compare the two. Gamer stink is far more powerful than the coronavirus.

Generally people who work at GameStop can't afford to quit.

Ps4 displays your most recent items and then has a bucket for everything else, except videos as you say which are hidden behind an ad laden menu.

I don’t want my menus to be exciting. I want my menus to be simple and functional. If you want to add animations and color you do that AFTER you’ve designed a useful interface.

Does it still have a UX that was seemingly designed by a mentally deficient narwhal?
