I felt the same way, hung on and got hooked... but it’s depressing in a way no other tv show I’ve seen is. I’m trying not to watch this season, but it’s inexplicably hard to give it up. I hate it.

TLDR: Save yourself. Don't watch.

It took a few episodes for me, but I became fascinated by the show and think it’s incredible. The first episode of the second season was probably one of my favorite episodes of television ever. And Carrie Coon and Ann Dowd are terrific. However, it’s certainly not for everyone.

I watch it but it’s really not for everyone. My love of Christopher Eccleston and hatred of cults is probably why I watched.

Watching United States of Tara, I remember thinking, “This girl is really fucking good. Why isn’t she everywhere?” Then I watched Short Term 12 and though, “Ok, seriously? Why isn’t she in everything?” She was probably my favorite thing about Trainwreck. Between that and Room, I’m hoping she finally starts getting big…

Does it count as an impression if you are like basically the same person? Even their natural voices sound extremely similar.
