That sounds like a lot of money to pay for a placebo effect.
Those are a lot of caveats, and even your best example is roughly twice as much of an add-on cost as you usually face for Spirit’s BFS (yes, I’m using an acronym now).

I have no problem with people calling Arkham Asylum a metroidvania. It actually really helps better describe what it is to people who would otherwise expect it to be either a linear adventure like Uncharted, or a open-world game like Arkham City.

GoG isn’t a platform, they just sell keys. That’s GoG’s fault for not wanting to build their own platform, not Steam keeping GoG out of the marketplace.
