get a good used truck on the cheap that *can* tow all that stuff, and a decent sedan that is PHEV (yeah I’m a Volt lover) or hybrid ($7k Prius, send it)? There is definitely a solution that involves two vehicles that are better separately than one that sucks at both.

Cities are where people live, not cars. Ever wanted to cross the street to visit a shop that looked interesting? Did you have to go out of your way to find an “authorized” crossing, or did you break the law and “jaywalk?

It’s a public space that the general public isn't allowed to use. Cars stole it from us.

As long as the proper building blocks for nurition are there and they’re not laced w/ toxic BS, it doesn’t matter where it comes from.

I was coming here just to say this.

It pisses me off every time. You can save a whole 2 minutes on a 60 minutes long trip if you do all these crazy turns, or you can go straight and turn once. My significant other hears me complaining about this every time I use Google maps.

I have a friend that prefers Soyrizo over normal pork chorizo. With that much seasoning, it covers that soy/plant flavor pretty well (same with most sausages).

Anything that tries to force me to use Doordash, or any of these other bullshit rent-seeking third-party ‘disruptive’ apps (Uber Eats, GrubHub, Deliveroo) can go fuck itself. These guys are no better than Yelp at attempting to insert themselves between a consumer and people who actually MAKE A PRODUCT and trying to

Why assume going in that the readers are already hostile to what you’re going to say

Most vegan cheese is pretty bad and “meh” at best. But I have found that Chao slices are a good and melty. There’s a very very slight coconut taste at the back end, but on a savory heated sandwich you wouldn’t notice it at all.

In my own home, I feel like I can definitely bang out a dynamite vegetarian sandwich. Vegan’s tough though. Cheese is my crutch. I know it can be done, but I feel like the variety of what I can serve up would be incredibly limited.

It is! I hope you’re doing well - I’m digging the car collection you have, too.

You’re fine to use it if you delete your phone from the infotainment system before you return it. I make a habit of doing this when I’m topping off the tank right before return.
