I suppose my usual solution, use six times as much garlic as I actually need and finish off the entire head as soon as I buy it, isn’t quite as cost-effective or convenient as this.

Yeah, either that or reduce/eliminate the subsidies for animal agriculture. I think we’d need to couple this with making sure fresh vegetables/fruits and non-meat protein sources are available, accessible & affordable where they are not always right now. I’m of the (possibly naive) opinion that a lot of people don’t

Maybe some veganized ranch dressings are “close enough” but I imagine a vegan version of blue cheese wouldn’t be.

I love cheese but am vegan and honestly sometimes the best vegan version of cheese is just doing without.

I’m a fairly accomplished deep fryer and I have never once made battered cauli wings as good as these silly little industrial potato nuggets soaked in Frank’s and vegan butter. If I were a pettier person I’d be offended!

This is 100% correct. I sometimes beer batter cauliflower but its not as good.

so just like the old defender then? and ive seen videos of new vs old. carwow ran them both and tfl has run them both and the new defender rolls over stuff the old one struggles with even on those weak factory tires.

yeah its not an old defender. its better. itll run circles around the old one off road and its worlds better onroad. still wont stay running.

Huh? I’ve been strict vegetarian for almost 30 years, and I love the Impossible. Finally, a decent burger that’s convenient and similar to what my friends are eating at a cookout. Was it bizarre the first time I tried it? Yes! Really bizarrely meatlike. But not gag-inducing at all.

Yeah, there’s plenty of vegetarians out there who like the taste of meat. There are a lot of reasons someone would opt for a substitute, just like there’s a lot of reasons someone would go vegan, go veg or just eat less animal flesh without attaching a label to their choice.

I’m not so sure. I’ve been veg since 1998, and my closest friends are vegan. We fucking LOVE Impossible and Beyond “meat.”

I know PLENTY of vegetarian/vegan folks who consider this stuff a godsend because meat doesn’t make them sick, they just feel bad about consuming it. So not sure what you’re on about.
