I just want someone to finally make the ultimate small form factor gaming PC - a gaming laptop without a screen, keyboard or trackpad. Just a tiny “desktop PC” with all mobile hardware. Why doesn’t this exist? Would be excellent to undermount below my sit/stand desk. Seems wasteful (and perhaps terrible for thermals)

I have an 82 Toyota pickup for truck stuff. I was lucky (?) to inherit it for free, but they are less than $5k in good shape on the market for the rare occasion you need truck stuff. Cheap to maintain. Not “safe”, but are you hauling your family to the dump, or when picking up things from Home Depot? If you are towing

As an EE who works in the T&M field, your acronyms are getting me all hot and bothered. If any automotive engineers are reading this, Keysight oscilloscopes can trigger and decode on all these standards ;)

Volt stan checking in. Buy a Volt. The more you look into it, the more it will make sense.

I bought a Chevy Volt a few months ago, and will die on this hill: a used 2nd gen is the best value for 90% of Americans, full stop. I don’t even care if a buyer can’t plug it in at home. 40mpg, EV capable, under $20k all day, hatchback. I ran mine on gas only for months until I (was fortunate enough to) buy a house.

Outsource it to Donut Media. Always blew my mind that Jalopnik never had a decent YouTube channel.

As someone who’s been watching a lot of Climate Town, City Beautiful and Not Just Bikes lately on YouTube… yeah. As much as I love cars, it’s tough to admit that the auto and oil industries have essentially transformed this country into a car only hellscape that punishes walking anywhere to the point of making it

My 96 Camaro got a head gasket leak that totaled it, because the motor has to be dropped to get to the top of the engine :( it basically lives under the cowl.

No

Just so sick of this line of reasoning, as if Toyota owes us anything. If you like the MK4 so much, go buy one. I feel the real blinders here are people forgetting that Toyota put their name on this, and likely had their hands in the QC for every part in the whole car. People just want a reason to bitch and moan.

I’m sorry you feel this way about a fucking automobile, but the MK5 has already outsold the MK4 and Toyota doesn’t care what you think because they are a corporation who’s goal is to make money, not make you happy

lmao I was just searching for these vans last week and saw this. I really, really want a pre-facelift version that looks like a doorstop.

Legend. Never met the dude, but got to attend his racing school with the purchase of my Abarth back in the day. RIP

Most if not all pizza chains in the USA are suckling on the teat of the dairy industry and will basically do whatever they say. There will be no vegan cheeses on their menus until this stuff stops. https://www.usdairy.com/for-farmers/blog/dominos-an-undeniably-strong-partnership

Asked my sales guy yesterday about this. Said they sell at MSRP and usually don’t get anything in writing, but could get something in writing if I wanted.

Sadly so, it says so right in the source article lmao. “Totally vegan” my ass.

If the idea of people being vexed by this vexes you, you shouldn’t be on the internet

Also looks exactly like my Eddie that I owned for years here in CO. 200,000 miles and still ran strong, though the transmission was getting a little janky towards the end of ownership.

Classic case of “find another one”. This thing is museum quality and probably one of less than a few dozen on the entire planet in this condition. If you want one this nice, good luck finding another one. In that case, NP, for someone at least. Not everyone.

Still waiting for “simple mode” where it takes a route with the least number of turns as long as it’s <10% longer, or something like that. Don’t send me zig zagging all over and just show me the route with three turns that I can semi-memorize before setting off.
