I'm so glad someone else mentioned the audio. I've seen the movie twice, and the dialogue was nigh incomprehensible to me and the people I watched it with both times. To be fair, I watched it on VHS both times, but other VHS movies I've seen aren't that bad.

People's senses of humor are developing into more intelligent, tasteful forms that don't have to rely on cheap shots at gender and racial stereotypes to be stimulated.

God, I remember "Philosophy in Film" classes in undergrad. So glad that period of my life is over.

Yeah, saying scenes like that are supposed to be some sort of reflection of the inherent horrors of war are definitely reading way too much into the movie. Culture and film-making are still overtly misogynist today and both were even more so decades ago. It's just a scene that would have been funny to audiences at the

My absolute favorite Futurama episode.

Reminds me of how the RNC was using that Jeremy Renner / Ben Affleck dialogue scene from The Town to get people excited about voting Republican. But at least they were thoughtful enough to take out the "some people are going to get hurt" line. Even though it would have been a perfectly appropriate thing to leave in in

We could very well have had different experiences with the kind of criticism we see of art. Just me, personally, I've

That's probably right. I just assumed

There were always toys, as well. Especially around the "Shadows of the Empire" period. I've never seen Avatar toys, or merchandise, not since about six months after Avatar came out.

God, Silent Running is great.

I haven't forgotten [how stupid] unobtanium [was].

That's a great idea, actually. Play FFVII or VIII instead of watching Avatar.

There's not much of a point in watching the movie now that it's out of theaters. I've seen it on television and it's very dull there. It was only mildly entertaining on a big screen.

I agree, mainly because he's able to procure earth-shattering success from any genre he chooses to try out.

Really? What's he doing, writing them? He's gotta be doing something with them, right? The IP is his baby. His ugly, dumb baby.
