At leastnhsi builds seem “pretentious but functional”. The no-fuicks-given miata looks like ass that he spent a lot of time making look like ass and spent a lot of money on it to ruin it.

“But don’t take my word for it; I’m just a girl.”
I did buy one. I loved mine. I upgraded to a FoST since the FiST is essentially unchanged since 2013 outside of having fewer colors to choose from.
Oh same - I got 0% for 60 months and said fuck it, 60 months it is. I took that and rolled it into a new car just this summer and did the same thing. I basically financed about....eh, 16k on a 26k car.
Agreed. Frankly 5 years is a bit iffy unless you put a lot down. But then again if you put a lot down you typically have the means for the shorter term. And then if you get one of those loans you need to get gap insurance too which just makes it more expensive to own and.....blergh.
Obligatory lada niva song:
I thought millenials were all hipsters and trying and effort were seen as bad things? Now, helicopter parent Gen Xers? THOSE are the people who crave participation trophies.
I feel like this was a missed opportunity to innovate - honda could’ve made the fireblade mower use an actual blade of fire....or at least some kind of heating element to make cutting more efficient or something.
-Way too drunk
-Followed Hello Kitty
-Contracted VD
-Roppongi
Yeah this story checks out. I don’t think I’ve ever had a night in Roppongi that ended any differently.
You have a shitty philosophy but hey, you do you. I’ll still help you when your used german car is on the side of the road with a dash that’s lit up like a bad christmas tree.
THis guy’s remixes of lines from the show into some songs are surprisingly good. The “Schwifty Beat” song is still his best IMO.
“It’s simple.....we kill the batmobile”
Well now we come into what defines harm. Because I can certainly make an argument that an 18 year old who gets killed because he didn’t wear a helmet could very well cause harm to his family when they deal with the aftermath. Ditto anyone in that picture and their possible kids/dependants.
I’m pretty sure they already know this.
I agree with you, and I think you just listed a best case scenario with the people who pause riding for family obligations. I get it, and I’d probably do it too. If I don’t have the time or cash to safely ride, and especially if I’m the only wage earner, I’d hit the pause button on that for a while too.
I think there’s a discussion to be had about whether or not they really do understand the risk they take. I look at all the people who crash while not wearing gear and become preachers of the church of “no more motorcycles”. To me, that sounds like you (the people who crash, not you, the person I am replying to)…
I’ve told the story before, I’ll tell it again.
They make great magazine porn but not nearly enough people buy them to sustain a corporation of this size. Also “enthusiasts” tend to be the most fickle consumer out there. Not a smart strategy to go after them too heavily.
When the article was first posted it had a title that ended in “how bad things are on the ground”. My joke was that there is no ground, only water, as evidenced by the boats on the expressway. The author has since updated the story to include corrections, including the title.
“On the ground” is a bit of a relative term when your lead image is a bunch of boats on an expressway...
