The “Men . . . taking care of a baby?  But how??????” premise was pretty dumb 40 years ago, and it’s extra dumb now.

I anyone going to really believe that a bunch of millenials cant easily figure out how to take care of a kid? Like back in the 80s, the idea that cool dudes would be hopelessly inept was both culturally and somewhat practically plausible.

Scarlett Johanson

Right.

So by labeling Danson simply as “the handsome guy” and then saying Efron can’t play that role, is Barsanti claiming you live in a universe where Zac Efron isn’t good looking enough to play “the handsome guy”?

Wasn’t Guttenberg a cartoonist (which I suppose is a kind of writer)?

I feel like there’s probably a third option here that doesn’t involve both allowing corporations to dodge blame and giving them more sway over the government than the general public.

On the other hand, if we didn’t accept corporations as people then maybe we would see more lawsuits against the actual people such as CEOs. Who could actually go to jail.

Meanwhile, Amazon posted incredible profits during the pandemic and Bezos is on his way to becoming a trillionaire. This while record numbers of Americans lose jobs, health insurance and their savings. So some corporations are doing just peachy.

He’s mad that they made John Cusack a yucky girl?

From one of the writers:

On the one hand, I definitely enjoyed the first season well enough that I would’ve very much liked to see a second season . But on the other, the first season works wonderfully as a miniseries as well, and I can still appreciate it for that.

I enjoyed it. The show wasn’t life changing or anything, but it was a fine dramedy with well defined and well acted characters.

Kindergarten Cop is actually good too “Not so tough without your car, huh?”

Ah yes, because I’m sure it was some right-wing anti-abortion group that originally scheduled their rallying cry film, Kindergarten Cop, for the Northwest Film Center in Portland.

I did not expect that series to be compared to Three Colors. But then, I’ve never seen Kindergarten Cop (or its sequel).

I’ve actually seen someone tweet about how that’s transphobic in the movie. This is the dumbest time to be alive.

Attention the left:  this is why no one likes us.

Yeah this seems like a stretch. I am as liberal as they come but I am not declaring all stupid 80s police films unwatchable now.  Those were never about real police, they are silly fiction

Let’s not forget the rampant trans erasure by having a small boy proudly announce that “Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina”!
