‘Controversial’ is one way to describe Duterte, I suppose. Is ‘monster’ too controversial a term for you, Noel?

Yeah, Ashley is referring to the threesome, which happened under false pretenses (the guys pretended not to know each other beforehand). But to me that feels more like manipulative behavior than straight-up sexual assault (correct me if I’m wrong). And that’s what one of the things I love about this show: that it

It will be THE MOST DRAMATIC SEASON EVER (again).

This episode was INTENSE. (I just said that with Kwame’s inflection)

I think you’re right. If something seems like it’s for adolescent girls, then people dismiss it out of hand. But something aimed at boys, like superhero movies, get to be major blockbusters that critics have to take “seriously” or else.

Sounds like you’re the rogue one.

But she's not a Jedi and Force Ghosts clearly don't care about teaching after becoming one, so if Luke died, Leia's gonna have to be self-taught.

It also helps that the music is good. Not sure what the point here is, it's not like she's gaming the system. It's just the system.

There’s never been a time when Kanye shifted more than a fraction of the units that Swift did.

I think I’ve heard two songs from Taylor Swift in my life, but it’s kind of crazy that over a decade after the VMA kerfuffle Swift is dominating the pop music newscycle and Kanye West has to feign running for president to get anyone to pay attention to him. I did not think Swift would so definitively win that feud.

What principle is that?

It’s like...a minute? Two maybe?

This is true. The real title of Episode IX is actually “Star Wars Episode IX: Palpatine Fucks”.

I think this is mostly BS and confirmation bias, but the one bit of plausibility I can see is that compared to most places you might go when you’re out shopping bookstores are relaxing and maybe that turns down the power to the “I’m not on home territory so ixnay on the oopingpay” circuit in some people’s brains.

For some of us with certain uh ... inhibitions, this is a feature, not a bug. And I don’t think it’s about book smell, wood pulp, whatever. You’re standing up, with your digestive system unkinked--compared to most sitting positions--and if you love books, you’re almost totally relaxed. These are excellent

So, a person spends more time in a bathroom and they’ll likely loose a poop?

TBH a whole room full of nice absorbent wood pulp probably appeals to our primate side, the poop-hiding part especially.
