THANK YOU. No Carly? No opinion.

I’m sure he does as I am a bit of a misandrist and don’t trust any man hahaha but that doesn’t mean she didn’t nail them.

That was set in New Jersey from what I remember, though the actress is Australian.

Yeah they didn’t seem to be too concerned with lauding shows that were ending this year. But Catastrophe is better than pretty much everything else on this list.

I did love that episode and do love that show, but I really didn’t care for the focus on The Guy’s relationship/fling this season. I like it better when it’s more of an anthology (and I also didn’t really care for the love interest).

She was the caricature in The Favourite but her pitch perfect facial expressions completely earned that Oscar in my opinion.

That’s what I was wondering. I’m assuming there is some time jump that makes sense, but the way Dowd wrote this sentence does not make sense.

Technically he hasn’t graduated, because there’s that scene the next day where she approaches him at graduation (but yes she was no longer his teacher bc the last day of school was over). But it was made clear he was legal because he repeated a grade, I think?

Yeah, I feel like articles across the web touting his donation of “part of his winnings” sets it up to be like $25k or something. A grand is a nice gesture but not anything different than what “normal” people often donate.

Yeah this whole article is taking the fact that they had one disastrous short and extrapolating that to make it a bigger trend. Also by the time I saw Coco in theatres they’d already taken it off so luckily I didn’t even have to suffer through that.

Spanish Buzz is the best gag in the entire Pixar universe

This was my mom’s attitude (and a little bit mine as well) — I kept watching every day but she stopped watching and was basically like “let me know when he’s off and I’ll watch again.” But unlike you, when she found out he lost she was like “oh man I kind of am sad that he didn’t beat Ken’s record....” can’t win!

Yeah i did not get the hype around it. Representation is good, godawful grating jokes are bad. I did love the mahjong scene though.

Yeah I could probably gloss over it now but at the time the wound was very fresh.

I wrote a whole essay in college about Two Weeks Notice as a modern screwball comedy (the physical comedy, the reverse class snobbery, etc), so I have a soft spot for it. I did, however, suggest it to my friends as a nice light movie to watch a couple weeks after Donald Trump’s election and totally forgot that Trump

I hate how much I love Michael, because it is objectively pretty bad but I was the exact right age when it came out (eight) so that my sis and I watched it a million times and i know all the lines. And she is really good in it.

Get yourself a reusable straw, problemo solved.

That was what Linda Holmes said on Pop Culture Happy Hour, that it felt not like the quality of a Disney movie but a Disney theme park.

That line definitely gave me the best laugh. And Jessica Williams’ growling.

So. Good.
