The original ADO15 is the only good looking mini.
I’m not even convinced they had a specific RS gasket to begin with. I suspect they upgraded the Mustang gasket and decided that would be good enough for both engines - hence the superseding mustang gasket number.
The first failures started around Dec 16 at which point Ford would have noticed the incorrect gaskets. If they already had the correct gasket designed they would have been able to immediately ensure the correct gaskets were used on subsequent cars.
