@avclub-1ef83ff6aceb6847da6c91867e20611b:disqus That's exactly right! No traditional pie crust. The taters are the crust. That sounds perfect to me. I've done plenty with ground turkey before, and it works so well. My favorite is ground lamb, though.

Ha! I almost started a thread on "Feeding New Parents Etiquette".

I met Mrs. Snape when we shared a table in 5th grade math class, but I met Mrs. Snape in 7th grade when we shared a car ride home from school in a mutual friend's van. She was immediately the coolest girl I had ever met - she was funny, she was nerdy, she was pretty, she was … ahem … endowed - and we just got along

Awesome news! Be sure to spend the first enhanced paycheck on an awesome meal, or part of an awesome meal, unless you and the other brassicas have your own tradition.

Love Shepherd's Pie so damn much, was thinking about maybe doing that next week. One of my favorite things about Shepherd's Pie is that I can't make just one. My default ingredients (specifically the lb. of ground meat) naturally make two pies, so two meals!

Now that going out to dinner is more of a production (el bebe), I find myself interested in cooking more than usual. Recent meals:

I find most Will Ferrell movies to be pretty terrible on first watch, and pretty tolerable on subsequent watches. Why you'd rewatch a terrible movie, I can't say, but I do know that I've seen most of Semi-Pro maybe five or six times. Same with Blades of Glory.

Guess I'm the contrarian here, but I think she's ugly. Not just "not attractive" or "not my type", but ugly. I'm shocked that anyone finds her attractive.

OMG, after that and "Clarity", this record is gonna be incredible. Baby Snape has already heard both.

Welcome to the club! Your life is ruined!

Halo series and GTA series. I've played every one and disliked every one. I will continue playing them as they come out though, at this point as some kind of self-flagellation ritual I assume. (Also, cause I'm a long time GameFly member so it's not like I'm dropping $60 to play something I don't like.)

Announcement Thread:

Figured I'd wait 'til the next TI for maximum response potential, cause I'm a jerk like that.

A drunk.

Make and ferment your cider however you like. I use pasteurized (but no additives) apple cider from a bottle, Nottingham ale yeast, and I added some extra sugar and frozen apple juice concentrate to up the alcohol.

Any good? I tend to hate all Shock Top beers, but I've never had that one.

I haven't had a chance to dig in to its offerings yet, but this is a good list for fall. Some BIG beers on this list

*The Lascivious Snape sometime tomorrow evening*

I hope to be cracking the first bottle of my home brewed Caramel Apple Cider sometime next week. Sweet like apple pie, 7.8% ABV, finally a cider that gets the job done.

Same goes for turn lanes.
