I despise "thanx" too, but conflating it with laziness seems silly. Nobody types "thanx," because they feel "thanks" takes too long or is extra effort. They type it, because baffling as it may seem to you or me, they like it. It is not a reflection of their effort or thankfulness. Really I don't think it is.

Mrs. Snape and I are only up through season 4. We listened to exactly 7 seconds of Conan's interview with the cast last night, and in that time ran smack into a pretty big spoiler.

Congrats.

Least he's honest. No less a dick, but least he's honest.

We'll also need to run comprehensive studies on breakfast tacos vs. breakfast burritos. Completely different approach, but no less valid.

Sours!

It's still the best one (srs).

My wife worked at Starbucks back in the day, and customers would steal the tip jar all the time. Maybe once a month. Just wait 'til no one's looking and then grab it and run.

Did they schedule the day off or just not show up? I've never played hooky from work to play video games, but I've scheduled vacation around it. Hell, I've taken off whole weeks when a big game was dropping before.

People ask Mrs. Snape+1 if she wants to setup one of those mirrors in the room that would let her watch the action. She says, "Uh, no!"

Absolutely. Are you doing anything else to the stew? Jalapenos are just so "tex-mexy" to me (which I love) that personally I think I'd find that flavor a bit weird in my shepherd's pie recipe. It'll probably be great, though.

In that case I take back everything I said.

Salary is an especially odd bird at my small company in which there are no duplicate positions. Nobody has the same job, and there's no consistency to the pay structure. People who you would think are on the same "level" may get paid very differently, depending most on how much money the company was making the day…

Congrats. Baby Snape's is next week.

Haven't cooked a lot over the last week, but had a productive Sunday.

We are T-minus 8 days to the arrival of Baby Snape (it's an induction date, so barring any weirdness…), so that means we're T-minus 9 or 10 days to eating PASTA again!!!

Big congrats, duder. I look forward to trying your brews one day.

Not being a huge pumpkin ale/stout man myself, I actually don't know how that stuff is made. Does it have real pumpkin in it usually, or is it like pumpkin pie spices? Or both?

Have you found it? It's legend amongst my pumpkin ale-inclined friends, but you can't just walk into a store, even a good store, and have any reliable hope of getting the stuff. Not in Texas, leastaways.

Yeah, didn't really turn me off. If anything, that was a warning to others. I really liked it.
