The Lascivious Snape

Finished off the last of my scratch-made bolognese last night. Definitely a weekend project to make it, but since it's just the two of us, one double batch gives and gives and gives. And it's just about the only thing I'm willing to freeze. That and my chili (same principle).

Hit last week in America. However you buy it, it comes with the instrumental and vocal versions. I've heard from those who really got into the instrumental version that they ended up preferring it to the vocal version. I don't dig on instrumental music, though, so I never listened to that stream.

I go frosted glass, if available, which I always have 4-6 on hand at home.

Adelaide is terrific. That one's going in the pool.

Their debut LP, Roads to Judah, is well regarded, but it's nowhere near the track in the stream. I think they'll be taking it to a whole new level with this upcoming album.

@avclub-d542a3419c3ad57206a96bcc86155ebc:disqus So true. It's expensive, but it tastes good in practically everything. A must for any hash.

Been hitting the new record by The Ocean hard. I love it, but I don't quite find it the masterpiece I've heard others claim it to be. Surprisingly, it's the final stretch, the last two "heavy" songs where I lose interest. They're boring compared to the rest of the album.

Big SodaStream fans at the Snape household. As others have said, the mock-sodas are not very good. Storebrand at best. But I rather like the fruit flavors and the lemonade flavors. I daresay the SodaStream Country Time Lemonade flavor is as good as any I've had. I can't make lemonade myself that I think tastes better.

I plan to see it despite the word on the streets, and I bet I'll like it plenty. Luhrman's visual excess has a way of infiltrating all of my critical scrutiny and injecting its will directly into my pleasure centers. I'm not saying everything he does is great, I'm just saying everything he does is made for me.

It's out. We've already got a Rachel, and everyone agrees she's the worst member of the family who's still considered part of the close family. We love her husband, though.

Variations will be tested rigorously.

Oh, and I like Poppy, I like Poppy a lot. I think it's a bad fit with the last name though. Even when you put the already-determined middle name in there I don't think it works.

I can dig it. I actually love the names of the angels from Evangelion, I just don't know which ones to apply to a girl: Sachiel, Shamshel, Ramiel, Gaghiel, Matariel, Arael, Armisael, etc.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. (Keep'em coming). I've got a fair few to take back to Mrs. Snape+1.

Lots of Eleanor in this thread, but I've gotta admit, I don't like that name at all.

Never heard Phlox before. Had to look it up to even realize it was a flower thing. I can dig on the less common flower names - although it may come off as a sideways Hunger Games reference, i.e. Katniss, Primrose.

I've received both of these suggestions from a sister-in-law as well.

Hey, I like that one a lot.

I like FarScape well enough, but maybe not enough to one day tell the child, "You we're named after a TV show daddy liked."

I used to go to TOWN on sunflower seeds. I especially loved the Planters, but since I can no longer find those (in the shell), I stopped eating them altogether. I don't like David, or really any of the smaller brands I've tried. Planters had a distinct flavor that's always missing in the others.
