She’s the Editor! One reason I was surprised to read her follow-up “I’m my own person and I do what I want and that’s enough to put me on firm ethical ground” defense. Every editor I’ve worked with would err on the side of disclosure, to avoid the appearance of pay for favorable coverage.

Yeah, that’s a better way to describe it. It looks bad and hurts the publication’s credibility, even if everything is on the up-and-up.

I appreciate the response. It looks like you understand how this review could appear kind of sleazy, so thanks for sharing your process. That line between sales and editorial looks a lot blurrier from the reader’s perspective.

Is this the same show that bought ad time on your site?

Yeah, same, I guess a thing happened? Or didn’t happen? Neat stuff

Homeboy has takes for days

Are you the same dude who was out here a few months ago taking a bold stand against both dogs and booze

You ... appear to have the time

Yes, I wonder how this sports site decided to cover this sports story instead of those other stories you mention, trenchant stuff, good insight

“Hi all — over the next few weeks, you will hear me refer to myself as ‘100 percent pure and 100 percent lethal’ like, a lot. Exclusively, and incessantly, I will be using this phrase. If you would like to know what the hell is up with me, please read on . . . “

If he doesn’t know the guy is deaf, it’s pure buffoonery and we can all be laughing at it

“a major catastrophe for the American country” is dumber than anything Miss South Carolina ever said & it’s my favorite part of the whole thing.

Yep. “Adoptions” = sanctions, lifting of.

Don’t ask me, I voluntarily attend Mariners games.

If you’re watching the ball as you tag up, it helps you start fast when it’s time to run! You start to leannnnn toward home and then take off when ball hits glove. Beats a start from a static “set” stance for sure, even though you have to whip your head back around as you go.
