Since I’m not much of a gamer myself, she playing games is usually just a good excuse for me to do something equally anti-social. But Witcher 3 is the first game that she’s played that I actually enjoy watching like a movie. We’ve logged more than 50 hours so far since the day after Christmas!

I guess that this is just a regular neural network that has been trained on some form of input. But an interesting test of how it performs would be to feed it different pictures (or screenshots) of the same people (or characters) to see if it gives approximately the same results independent on angle, lightning, etc.

Oh, I agree. The main reason I bought the PS4 is so that my gf can play Witcher. But I enjoy racing sims (and the more realistic arcade racers), and it’s a very nice perk if I get to try it in VR in the future.

Awesome! Thanks for the info!

I was on the fence about getting a current-gen console or building a gaming PC for almost a year. Up until now, I’ve been playing games like KSP and Besiege on my laptop with Intel graphics, and Gran Turismo on my PS3. Gaming is more a way to pass time than a hobby to me, and I feel like I have too many expensive

On the complete contrary. Douglas Adams wrote that you must never give political power to someone who actually wants it, and I think it’s kind of the same with driving licenses.

VW’s profit margin appears to be around $1000-$1500 per sold car, so this penalty is equal to the total profit from selling 30-50,000,000 cars.

Why is Novigrad this green? Did they just base these pictures of the topographical maps and then apply their own textures? Sure, there are a few trees in Novigrad, but from above it must be at least 99% rooftops and cobblestone.

Where do you nominate people for the Pulitzer? I will not only nominate you, I will also request that the medal is engraved with the title of this article.

I was on holiday in northern Italy a couple of years ago when a convoy of Paganis passed by (maybe eight of them or so). The sound they made was fantastic, of course, but I still got the same feeling I get when I see a Noble M12 or some generic GTA car.

They do make cars that appeal to driving enthusiasts, of course, provided that said enthusiasts don’t really care about what the outside of their cars look like.

So the minute anyone becomes rich, they also lose any sense of interest in car design?

When I look at the Aston Martin DB9, I feel a deep sense of desire. I get that same desire when I see an old Ferrari 250 GTO, a Jaguar D-type, a gullwing Merc, the Jaguar F-type, the Alfa Romeo 4C or the 159 and many other cars. If I were stinking rich, my garage would need to be huge. But when I look at the Pagani, I

I’m not sure how much room it has to ascend in value, to be honest, they have already risen quite a bit. Even though the badges say Porsche, the ownership experience can’t be likened to owning a 911, it’s probably closer to other small European sporty cars from VW, Alfa Romeo or Fiat. In that company, $29,000 is

I know that these things have been increasing in value in recent years (simply because ‘wo-hoo, vintage Porsche’), but I try to think of how the car would have been regarded had it been branded as a VW. Then it would just be considered another quirky small German car with sporty design, alongside for example the

Ah, yes, the “I want my neighbours to know that I’m driving a Porsche, but I don’t actually want to drive a sports car”. Possibly the trashiest car in the world.

Huh, then the fuel filler cap and the wheels must be extremely tiny! I was honestly looking at it several times, without being able to make up my mind as to what size it is.

Edit to my previous post: After studying the relative size of the fuel filler cap and the side mirrors, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is some sort of horrible SUV, and I redact my previous statement about wanting one. The styling initially made me think that it was Fiesta-sized on tiny little wheels.

Speaking as a European: What on earth is this? I somehow find it more attractive than I feel that I should.
