Deprecation on a 4C over a year, or did you mean Alfas in general? I’ve been following the 4C eagerly on the European market ever since launch, because I desperately want them to deprecate. They seem to have had exactly zero deprecation so far, prices for the used examples are very nearly the same as it is for new…
Ok, so here is entry #1325 in the list (because damn you, Doug, I’m not signing up for no Twitter account): A Fiat 126. Even better, the Polski Fiat version.
Wipeout HD on PS3 did it for me, particularly when I played it on a huge screen. It completely outclassed every F-Zero game and every Wipeout game I’ve tried before in terms of feeling of speed and immersion. The only thing I want from the gaming world is Wipeout HD Fury with a cockpit view and support for a VR…
I don’t get what appears to be the American obsession with their Chinese owners. The design, the R&D and the construction of this thing is taking place in Sweden to a much larger extent than it was when Volvo was owned by Ford. Did you use to consider it an American car back then?
There is a legend (most likely untrue, but amusing anyway) about how Swedish Lancia customers in the 1970s were much happier with their cars than Lancia-owners in pretty much every other country. When Lancia started digging into this phenomenon they contacted their Swedish agent, who simply explained that they adopted…
The Tom Cruise interview was extremely cringey as well.
I stopped reading at “The Life Aquatic was everybody’s least favourite Wes Anderson movie”.
I agree that it’s reasonably priced relative the hybrid segment, now that there is a hybrid segment. But when it arrived, I and many other compared it to other cars of similar trim levels/performance/quality/comfort/whathaveyou, and then it seemed like a cheap economy car that was expensive simply because it contained…
I had a feeling that you’d like it. He dd’s a Citroën BX GTI... If you ever stop by the south of Sweden I’ll arrange for a date between the two of you.
This is a point that I often make when arguing with my cousin, who hates Prii, yet drives a Dyna Panhard Z.
Funny thing is, as you say monograms were once considered a bit nouveau riche. So it would still be trashy, only old-school trashy instead of modern trashy :D
You’re in luck!
The only reason I can see to this solution is (a) if they want to lower the price by something like 50 USD due to possibly cheaper manufacturing or (b) if it would disturb the aero to actually let air pass through the vent. But then again, the ‘vent’ surface probably disturbs the aero just by sitting there anyway.
This one costs something like $185,000. How much would it add to the price to actually use a real net here, with holes in it? It doesn’t have to be a functional vent, just lead it away to somewhere it won’t hurt the aero too much. Spending a fortune on a car and then seeing this must be infuriating.
