@WizardsPajamas: For what? While the article doesn't explicitly state it, I'd guess that he was the one that turned her in.

@TankBean: Unfortunately, the article doesn't say. . .but based on the fact that he was willing to talk to reporters about it, I'd guess so.

@Greg Allen: I thought I was done copying and pasting this, but you guys keep coming out of the woodwork.

@protodad: How many kids did you have to take care of while working full time? Yeah, he probably should have called for help sooner, that's definitely true, but he was protecting someone he loved, even if it ends up being irrational.

@Dencity: I've given up now. heh

@Omnimon: Are you referring to me or porkdrome?

@Zantagor: The children's stepfather did make an effort, police said. Boord told Channel 11 it was hard for him to handle the six kids alone.

@porkdrome: The children's stepfather did make an effort, police said. Boord told Channel 11 it was hard for him to handle the six kids alone.

@LoungeLizard: The children's stepfather did make an effort, police said. Boord told Channel 11 it was hard for him to handle the six kids alone.

@Mike Gomez: The children's stepfather did make an effort, police said. Boord told Channel 11 it was hard for him to handle the six kids alone.

@roughneck117: Resistance, Gears of War, Halo, the list goes on.

@Robotronic: "but there's no way that the final version will be as responsive and slick with Android as its foundation."

@Fase: You ninja edited! My comment is useless now.

@raytheater: The story focused more on the main characters than it did the whole of humanity and in the end, the character prevailed (they didn't die) but the alien threat was still present. If it ever goes anywhere, I might toy around with a sequel.

I actually wrote a novel about this that will never see the light of day, but the idea is that the aliens come to our planet but don't have enough resources to engage in an all out invasion, let alone a war. So they use EMPs and biological warfare to divide and conquer.

@WizardsPajamas: Leading by example. Many of our actions are influenced by things we've seen or heard others do. This story, in some way, might influence someone down the road to do the right thing and then the publishing of this story would have been worth it.

@norazi: He didn't know if he was giving the phone back to the owner until he looked through the photos.
