Trucks aren’t trucks anymore, but lifestyle vehicles. Look at your examples. Not only are the beds higher, they are dramatically shorter. There are a couple extended cab pickups left that have decent bed lengths, but most trucks are 4 door vehicles today and you can’t fit a bicycle easily in the bed with the tailgate…
