All I can say is that the optics on this... are not good. Like, I am unable to believe a damn word of this story.
This is kind of the main issue with this show since it switched to a serialized format though. It was fine, in the old “mission of the week” format, to treat the audience with a ‘ha-ha, why do you care?’ attitude, because you’re only investing 30 minutes at a time. When you ask the audience to commit to a season long…
Teddy would be number one on my list, but I think he’s been a main character for at least a few seasons now.
Only if it was Isabella Kitchen-lady
I will hear arguments for Rudy to be included in that group, but I was going for specificity. Secondary characters on Bob’s go: Zeke, Rudy, Mr. Fischoeder, Jocelyn, Tammy, Sgt. Bosco, everyone else.
Also, while I agree Zeke is almost always going to be the MVP of any episode he appears in, my main gripe with this episode would probably be that Zeke, Jimmy Jr, Jocelyn, and Tammy had pretty ephemeral roles. Tina’s classmates are the best group of secondary characters this show has.
The rare instance where Bob and Linda should’ve listened to Teddy. Watching hockey with a friend always beats going clubbing, especially at their age.
No NSFW tag?
“Lars is sniffing my crotch. Like, a lot.”
I can’t stand watching the Rockets for this exact reason. Intellectually, I know Harden is a great basketball player, and should’ve been the MVP last year. I know that the game exists as it does, and his taking advantage of it is a skill. I know all these things.
Hang on. “Joey Fist Pumps” wasn’t one of the people on the show?
I pretty sure anything set in a record store in this day in agreement would have to be more depressing than in 1995 or 2000.
Baseball certainly doesn’t have a monopoly on self-righteous prigs (looking at you, NFL), but it does seem to attract a high concentration of them.
Doesn’t she turn up on Bob’s Burgers pretty frequently?
Kinda interesting to see Tina fill the Gene role tonight: winning episode MVP tossing off lines from the sidelines. But really, any appearance of Unexpectedly Aggressive Tina is going to be gold.
Probably none without a heavy “for the time” disclaimer.
The fact that the movie is clearly only not explicitly called “Cock Blockers” (as though putting a rooster in front of “Blockers” doesn’t spell it out) because it would be impossible to advertise doesn’t fill me with much hope that this will be a thoughtful, nuanced take on adolescent sexuality either. Really, it just…
All I know about this movie is what the commercials have shown, but every time I see one all I can think is “Didn’t teen sex comedies used to be for teenagers, not their parents?”
I’d have to disagree with the assertion that Marge getting pregnant with Bart right after high school is so central to these characters, mostly because that backstory never quite fit with how these characters are portrayed. I know “That 90's Show” isn’t generally considered a classic, but it did make the valid point…
