Huh. Now that's a coincidence.

This is the rare Kotaku heart material, right here.

Oh, I heartily disagree with this. Origin might suck, and EA might do some shady things here and there, but I've enjoyed plenty of their games produced over the years.

Yeah, I've gotta say, Ubisoft kind of takes the crown with their completely out of touch and iron stance on DRM.

Holy Abandon Ship, Batman.

A little late on the open thread, but I came across this metal kickstarter the other day (it's not a video games kickstarter):

True... I doubt I'll ever see a new Quest for Glory.

Ohhh, nostalgia temptation alert!

I wish some of the original Sierra Online adventure game employees would get on a Kickstarter.

Oh god, my brain.

Oh man, the first Thief game has a special place in my heart. It was one of the few M games I convinced my parents to let me buy. I remember watching the trailers that came packaged with video game magazines time and time again, and I still remember the awesome packaging Eidos put the game out in, with its strange

Unnh...

Hah. I didn't play Journey myself, but I watched my friend do a complete second playthrough, and this was pretty much what was said a number of times.

James Gunn is also VERY responsive to his fans, which is really cool. If you have him on Facebook or Twitter, chances are he'll respond to you if you enter a discussion.

Watching again, and it looks like you may be right. While movement seems to be tile-based, it also looks like it might be real-time - which is a pretty interesting idea.

Looks like it's turn-based in the sense that Dungeons of Dredmor is turn-based. When they/you move, it looks like they/you move a tile, or turn.

Wow. Gorgeous music, visuals, and a 3D first person turn based RPG?
