Much respect for mentioning Shining Force 2. One of my first games, my first RPG and I still thinking of it fondly. I’ve the cart sitting around somewhere...

That’s just fantastic. Though I would personally consider it more cosplay of the Overwatch shorts than the game, seeing as how the game has her outfit firmly embedded between her buttocks. For some inexplicable reason. Whilst the shorts, and indeed this real life, takes the more realistic approach of... not having

I think it has to a lot of people here, heh. Justifiably, it’s a great game.

No, I understand the quote. Specifically it’s about the Roman attitude in Britain, said by a Caledonian Chief. And I’m Scottish ; )

I’m failing to see the applicability of your quote, it seems at odds with the sentiment I was describing. However, to respond in kind:

I really like this game, and although I’m typically in favour of dealing with a situation such that it does not return to bother you, the lack of lethal firearms seems entirely reasonable given the game’s lore.

One of my biggest issues with the game was the fact your spacesuit is apparently made out of papier mache. Short answer: No.

It’s perhaps akin to a lot of David Weber stuff, in that the fantastical elements are there to provide the story, but once inserted operate in accordance with realism. And my doesn’t Weber enjoy showing his work.

The real GDR was also never at war with an invading alien species. It is true though, that the anime Stasi act more akin to the Gestapo than their real life inspiration. Arguably, the Real Stasi were even more amoral; they specialised in soft power, plausible deniability even as they manipulated people to such a

Minor spoiler for the VN trilogy follows:

It’s more the fact that everything in Muv Luv has an in-universe justification, even as it may obviously be a considered aspect placed by the creator for a meta reason. It’s one of the most rock-solid settings I’ve ever encountered; anything you can pick at it about typically reveals the reasons as to why it is that

I hope you enjoy despair.

How full-of-life would you be expecting a show set in East Germany under the Stasi to be?
