I can appreciate what the anime has done to construct a solid narrative after dropping half the plot elements from the manga, but I still vastly prefer the manga and that’s what I’m going to stick with.

Except Styracosaurus has a long nose horn and no eyebrow horns. So... yeah... Definitely not a Stegosaurus though.

If you come over to AniTAY, we’ve a couple of reviews of the games (this one has recently been updated) and are generally superfans of the franchise. The short-short version though, is:

The TE anime also only covers about the first half of the actual TE story, which supposedly gets a bit better in the VN later.

It’s been stated that they’re going to use the original Openings, as they are how the fans in the West received it and enjoyed it. They’re really trying to keep the fanbase in mind through all this, which is heartening to see. Also, I consider the original OPs to be less spoiler-y anyway.
