Can that VW bus make it up a hill with a large dog in it?

I find it hard to believe that the COGS for Rivian’s electric vans are actually $200k.  COGS is the actual per-unit cost, without any additional amortization of the startup costs like machinery, workforce development, and so on.  The only way it would cost $200k is if they were still doing things like machining parts

My dad would never buy a US made Toyota, but is ok with GM vehicles made in Mexico and China because American. I suspect others have the same shortsighted attitude.

“I got this wrong, and I take responsibility for that.””

No, Mark, you are making 11,000 other people take responsibility for that. You are taking no responsibility.

“Fired staff will be receiving 16 weeks of base pay, plus two extra weeks’ pay for each year of employment, plus all their remaining paid time off. They and their families will also get health insurance for six months, three months of career support, and vitally, immigration support. Overseas employees will receive

Reminds me of when I get on a plane from California to Tennessee to see my folks. The flight starts off with a mix of people- thin, medium and chubby people. The last plane, which is usually one of those smaller regional jets making a short jump from Charlotte to TN is almost always 100% full of morbidly obese people.

I miss 2 door SUV’s. They are all getting so old now that I dont think its worth it - but a clean low miles Vehicross would still do it for me.

Mustang, obvs

Murray also stayed by Radner’s side until the end when she was dying, and they remained great friends up until her final moments. As noted elsewhere here, he also punched Chevy Chase and devastatingly called him a “medium talent” for being insanely terrible to the women on SNL. Maybe he’s a human being with flaws,

I can’t believe every new car has already apparently had damage to the rear quarter panels and had to have mismatched donor car parts welded in.

Super weird look.

Grand Wagoneer. It’s hard to make a black car look bad, but the chromed windows are just Ew

This is a 2004 Kia.

(Let me preface this with when I see the real steel, maybe it’s a different impression. I thought the Jeep Cherokee “spider eye” headlights from a decade ago were an abomination. Once I saw the actual vehicle, I had to do a 180—they looked great.)

This has 1980's truck commercial vibes for days...

Triumph TR6. Not expensive to buy, not complicated to work on, enormous aftermarket/parts availability. Prices have gone up, but a very solid candidate for restoration is maybe $15-18k, leaving lots of cash to replace every damn things that looks suspect.

I’m dissappointed in everyone’s choices so far except *maybe* the Lucid Air. How about something a bit more inspirational

The future is looking more and more Mad Max, so probably some sort of rodded out truck. What are Navistar International Trucks like right now? Lets say the International MaxxPro, that is the future we’re getting to.

The SSC Tuatara:

Big and Heavy EV SUVs.... so I’ll go with R1S.
