I dunno. This feels like watching the popular kids from high school goofing off at the talent show. Only costing more money than I’ll earn in my entire life.

Speaking as a kid who grew up in the CD era, that feeling of excitement absolutely existed with CDs. Almost exactly how you describe it.

Maybe in the press, but I didn’t get a sense that the actual movie was overly self-congratulatory or anything.

Sounds like Cameron is railing against the Wonder Woman tv show from the 70s and not the movie I saw.

Agreed. It frustrates me that Duck Soup always makes these lists because, while it’s a funny movie, it’s hardly the funniest Marx Brothers comedy and its sad that everyone is being funneled toward an inferior movie just because critics in the Vietnam era embraced it as an important satire of war. Just showed up to make one last dig at Disqus. A commenting system where, if you search for your previous post, you can't see any replies to it? Who on earth would think that's a good system?

This just feels like another con, to be honest. "Oh he'll moderate now… blah blah blah…"

I was in love with Dana Delaney in this when I was 12. My impression is that it's little watched now, but generally remembered as a good show.
