Turns out it's all thinly veiled Gilmore Girls fan fiction.

If you must write prose and poems the words you use should be your own. Don't plagiarize or take on loan.

Looks pretty clearly like some mcmoron left his mcfly down and is trying to cover it up.

My wife and I frequently copy Dawn French saying "I know thaaat" from one of French & Saunders white room sketches. It's a way to comically deflect criticism for not knowing something we should have known.

Well blow me down, indeed.

Smart Money is on Shakira, but don't underestimate Tucker's advantage with volume.

Mike and Yates? I wonder if that's a Dr Who reference…

Sexism bad, of course. But I have a hard time getting enraged about the relative pay gaps of a bunch of millionaire actors. How about we get enraged about stagnant working class incomes instead?

I dunno. The story of Manic Monday is that the singer is late to work because she stayed up all night having athletic sex with her lover and lost track of time. I'd say that sounds like a Prince song to me.

Can you cite a source on that "Hoffs didn't cowrite Eternal Flame"? Cause I've never heard that from a reputable source.

I've got a set of SNL DVDs somewhere that collects a bunch of music performances and Al Franken just shits all over The Bangles on it.

I hear you. The thing is, the Bangles did write or cowrite many of their best songs, just not a few of their big hits. In Your Room, Hero Takes A Fall, Ride The Ride - all good stuff. Why no respect for that?

Noted, but I still understand GAC's point. Yeah, they had big hits and were household names, but they never got any respect. They were here and then they were gone. There are generations of punky riot grrls who name-check the Go Gos. That doesn't really happen with the Bangles. Which is a shame because I'd argue the

I never thought to view that show as if it had the same premise as The Beverly Hillbillies.

For me, it's the all kids episode when a sick pantomime bird comes out and pukes on a little girls head. The concept, chaos and camera work are just perfect.

Well, there aren't that many of them, but off the top of my head, the ones I can think of mostly work. "The Rescue" is one of the best Doctor Who stories of the 60s and it's a two parter. I like the sick morbidity of "The Sontaran Experiment". And any problems I have with "The Black Orchid" aren't structural. You'd

Btw, BBC Budget Dragon would make a pretty dope AV Club screen name.

And once again, Turlough gets the shaft.

Just wanted to chime in and say I appreciated this thread. It's been several years since I've hung out around Who fandom online, mostly because they just seemed so damn impossible to please. But it's been nice to read all of your thoughts, here.

Yeah, the usual arc of a Doctor Who 4 parter is Exposition, Crisis, Stall, Climax/Resolve. There's no such thing as a 4 Act Play, and yet they tried to do it for over 20 years of Doctor Who without changing.
