Ewing’s a genius, and so I will gladly follow him into Marvel’s cosmic space for the nth time. Can’t wait. Every answer here has only multiplied by interest in this title.

I cannot wait to catch this movie in an airplane.
Wild thing to say! Beast Wars is easily one of the most coherent entries in the Transformers franchise. Like, what do they transform into as a disguise? Beasts. Why? Because there are a lot of ‘em. Who are they fighting against? Terricons, who transform mainly into dinosaurs and the scarier pre-historic animals. Why…
The only way it works without Pete dying is if it’s done similarly to the Spider-man games. Peter is Miles’ mentor, and they have a big brother/little brother dynamic. We’d maybe finally have an MCU Spider-man who does the whole “With Great Power...” schtick!
With a classic palette, a bland animation style, and the usual foibles of Superman dealing with his original supporting cast while also learning how to be a superhero, the trailer doesn’t inspire much confidence.
Yeah, I think Miguel genuinely believes that breaking canon events will destroy that universe, but the movie indicates that he’s wrong.
Would say give it a few years and having a show about Henry as a player on the USMNT team mirroring Ted’s philosophy while being a forward...could be interesting. Like, an opposite-Blue Lock type deal.
Besides using his play at the end, I can sorta buy Nate not being involved. The team made a point of completely changing the way they played up until then and bringing him on-board as part of the coaching staff at this point wouldn’t help anything.
Pretty much the platonic ideal ending for this show. This was Ted Lasso at its best. This season was uneven. It had some great highs—Amsterdam episode—and some big lows—everything KJPR. And a lot of “oh, well, it’s fine, I guess”: Nate’s redemption happening largely off-screen even as the actor did his absolute…
This looks excellent. I love the art style. It’s juuuuust the right amount of grimy. And I love that the turtles are all acting like teenagers. The voices are great, IMO. It’s a fresh take that we haven’t seen before while still feeling like the classic turtles. Good shit.
DeSantis is a bigot and a fascist, and so are his supporters. The majority of the modern conservative movement is rooted in uplifting fascism, racism, sexism, and oppression. If that hurts, well, re-evaluate your beliefs.
I mean, they nailed their Liu Kang. Enjoyed the first (imperfect) movie, so I’m on board for this casting choice.
Aw hell yeah, can’t wait to watch this one like I did Bumblebee. In a plane half-a-year after its release. I liked Bumblebee!
Yeah, I mean. Look, I get it. It’s all about the macro-feelings with this game. The majestic scenery. The way you’re thrust into this adventure and given infinite freedom. I get why that made up and then some for minor things that maybe weren’t perfect.
Some people say a man is made outta mud
A poor man’s made outta muscle and blood
Muscle and blood and skin and bones
Yeah, it’s weird how the author is sorta sweeping in the *mob’s* involvement and Susie’s embezzlement under the rug. Midge is an asshole, but so is Susie. And one has arguably the worse (literal) crime.
Joel took on Midge’s “debt” for the mob. Susie’s clients all belonged to the mob. The mob got a cut. Joel made sure that Midge didn’t owe them anything by trading his own business for them. She’s clean. It’s Susie’s fault because she never let Midge *know*, and she got her into that situation in the first place.
It was so damn fun. It’s not perfect, but mannnnn, the gameplay loop could be so satisfying.
I mean, Star-Lord’s own characterization within the comics are so widely inconsistent that you can sort of just roll with it. He’s gone from anti-heroic space cop to depressed war veteran to decent space cop with PTSD to Chris Pratt’s rendition to space hippie with sun powers to now just being a space cowboy.
Great little season of television. Wrapped up but not too neatly. A little sad, a little hopeful. Some tantalizing threads. I would love for another season. I’m not holding my breath, sadly, but damn, wouldn’t it be nice?
