It is October 2019. I am reading a news story about how “Baby It’s Cold Outside” is bad. They say there is a new version by John Legend and Kelly Clarkson.

This is the worst form of art criticism. “They didn’t make the work I would have made.”

Then you have the confounding sentiments that AI, in any shape or form, is beneficial to humanity.

Yeah, I’m very much not the person to be swept into that sort of thing, but that kiss is...I mean, damn.

Nolan and Joy were already working on Westworld during the final few seasons of POI. They were still involved but less. I think Greg Plageman as Co-Showrunner, Denise Thé and other writers were what made POI really work, and you can see that in Westworld that someone is absent who should tell Nolan “Look, those are

I’m in this camp, I think the current ending is actually fine?

Maher finds new ways to be a dick every day, clearly.

Just finished a NuWho rewatch with my wife, from 9 to the most recent specials. (Mostly a rewatch: she hadn't seen most of 12 nor any 13, and I hadn't seen The Flux stuff). We’re ready now. Bring it.

I call those interesting failures.  The first example that comes to mind is Last Night in Soho.  It’s trying something new, and interesting, even if it doesn’t really stick the landing.  I’d rather have an interesting failure, over a mediocre success.

The fundamental difference I see between WFH advocates and those who want everybody forced to physically come in is that the former generally don’t care where anybody works because it doesn’t impact them either way. Want to come into the office? Great! Want to work from home? Great! Want to work from a coffee shop?

My favorite one is “I like being able to just walk to a co-worker’s desk and tap them on the shoulder!”

Jon Favreau has done literally nothing that warrants giving him the reigns to a Marvel movie. An indie movie? An unprofitable kids movie? A Christmas movie? Please explain to me WHY he was given this job.” - a bunch of people in 2007

Let’s look at this, shall we?

I can’t even begin to comprehend the thought process behind posting a list of things to buy during a sale without mentioning the discounts.

Really what it is is her supporting the very unfair treatment of other actors so long as they come around to treating her better. This film was blowing in the wind after losing its original 2 female leads- firing 1 very unjustly for her activism, and the other quitting in solidarity. Neve chose to step over them and ag

I’ll always remember the scene from The Wire where Bunk and McNulty go over an old crime and their entire dialogue is just variations of the word “fuck.”

Even though this is before Turner D. Century’s favorite era and takes place in a topsy-turvy land, a good yarn is a good yarn. I hope it is as delightful as a Gilbert and Sullivan production and am looking forward to it.

Wait, so is the English that’s actually “Portuguese” spoken with an accent to differentiate with when he’s speaking English? Just curious. I’ll probably check it out later, but I really liked how the show Warrior handled the language use, perfect English from a Chinese character is them speaking Chinese, they speak
