It’s really interesting to see how they intersperse what we know about post-Avengers Loki with this Loki who has yet to receive all that character development. He didn’t live the reconciliation with his father and Thor. He just saw that it happened. 

To your first point, this is 2012 Avengers Loki. The “I’m going to brute force my way to victory because I’m lazy” Loki, not the clever trickster of even The Dark World onward. So he’s still riding high on that initial invasion and almost immediate loss.

Oh, man. If true: He’s going to have so much fun in that role. Fuck yes.

It’s all killer, no filler. As someone who has only experienced JJK through the anime, it looks like the result of someone who was very clearly weaned on Bleach & Naruto-era shonen (with the right amount of reverence for earlier stuff like Yu Yu Hakusho), took the right lessons from those works, and stripped it all…

The anime is easily one of my favorites of 2020/21. Just an absolute blast that only got better with each passing episode.
