Doc and Beans, goddamn.
Doc and Beans, goddamn.
It’s such a weird show!! I love it for that.
Aw, Downward Dog. That was a good show that deserved better.
I was like 80% sure we were losing the show. No way was ABC going to actually give us closure, but I’m pleased.
I’m happy about Evil, Stumptown, and The Rookie. The Rookie, especially. It’s been a blast of a show, and that season finale was genuinely riveting. I would’ve been pissed if that didn’t get resolved.
A few things:
Checked this show out yesterday, and [after an edible] found it a treat. It’s tonally weird, but I love it. I love that it deals in workplace comedy one second and then goes darker places almost without warning. It’s interesting. Gonna rewatch the first season now because. Well.
Speaking of, isn’t Quibi supposed to be making a Tomie adaptation for its platform? Or is that not happening anymore?
Simon the Devious: A Vampire with Taste!
So far, this episode is second to only the Disco Vampire episode as my favorite. Last episode being third.
I mean, if it’s not a good fit? It’s not a good fit. But how did someone go into an action-oriented superhero show with 18-24 episode seasons and not expect long hours?
I also gave Tifa Haste. So once I get the Refocus break, I was able to: cast Haste, punch, refill my gauge, combo, waste all my ATB charges; refill them fast (Tifa’s got a high ATB gauge refill rate, apparently); rinse, repeat. It’s great. I only loaded her up with materia like First Strike, Assist, Deadly Dodge, etc. …
I’m going to watch it for a very shallow reason: Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae are fine as fuck. (But they are also hilarious/talented.)

Really? I thought it did a great job showcasing the leads’ chemistry. Nothing earth-shattering in terms of plot, but I loved the “oh, do you think it’s a special door that only for men?” bit (paraphrase) was inspired.
Haha. I did everything I could to save the shows I liked at the time. But then I moved and they no longer cared about my opinion.
I became a Nielsen household...during season six. But I was watching TV on Hulu (and Yahoo!) by then. What a terrible way to gauge ratings.
They are! And Netflix.
I think I could be swayed into accepting the finale if I ever rewatched the show. But...I don’t think I will. It was a great finale! For the first two seasons of the show. Not for where it ended up. So, yeah, I’m good—thanks.
Yeah, here’s hoping. I sort of doubt he’s got a script at the moment. In the past, he’s seemed cagey about it, and I 100% can see why. It’s hard. The expectations alone would be enough to make anyone reticent to try.
