It was wonderful to see these actors inhabit these characters again. Alison Brie is so talented. Her read was almost identical to the one in the episode; maybe even better? It was a blast. I sure hope we get that movie. I don’t know if there’s ever been a moment as ripe for it as now. C’mon, Dan, you’ve got this. We

I enjoyed this episode a lot. I enjoyed seeing Morty grow, and I felt for him in how cruel it was what Rick did. But I also found it really funny. In the end, my one wish for this show—(I’ll even accept it as the last second of the last episode)—is for Morty to one day put Rick out of his misery There Will Be Blood-sty

Not really sure we need a Furiosa prequel. I’d much rather see another Mad Max/Furiosa two-hander. Why? Because few movies in recent memory have managed the “two stoic warriors relying on each other” as effectively as Fury Road. I loved the scene where Max shoulders the rifle for Furiosa. I’d also be cool with another

I get this more than I get the Community furor. A:TLA has been hard to get without shelling out like, $60 bucks since it moved off Amazon. The Nick app sucks. Netflix is more accessible than either of those two options for a large swathe of the population. Now, in comparison, Community has been easily available on

What’s the one episode that I should show someone to convince them to watch it with me? I can’t be objective because this show means so much to me. I mean, damn, I was roughly the Gaang’s age when it premiered. I still remember watching the first episode with my little brother. I’d love to find an episode to have on

Yeah, but the stylization on the flashback animations in that episode was fun.

“Bye, space sword.”

I guess this is as good a spot as any to admit: damn, I actually feel hella cool wearing my washable black masks, and I hope they become the norm now like in Japan/S. Korea? They’re comfortable/weirdly comforting? I don’t know. That and like, joggers/sweatpants becoming accepted in the workplace.

I kept waiting for his eyes to glow, but nope. He 110% tried to kiss Nadja and then rebound with the Nadja doll. That said, how’d he know that the doll was alive? Colin Robinson’s scary, man.

Mark Hamill was as good as I thought he would be. I love seeing him cut loose in silly shit like this. He’s got one of the best voices in the biz and knows how wield a cape. And I want that Coach track-suit that he was wearing at the end. It was rad.

Cool, I guess.

I miss knowing that if I go through the trouble of positioning myself on a perch above an enemy and try to assassinate them...that it’ll work. (I miss assassination and the subsequent assassination scenes, in general, though.)

I tried. I would wipe out an entire fort using Leonidas’ blade and the teleport insta-kill move...and then that would get axed when I’d get to the the one commander who shrugs it off. And oh shit, now there’s a merc in the area, yay. I’ll say it now: the drone birds are inferior to eagle vision.

I really like those games. They’re great. But I don’t usually categorize them as “Assassin’s Creed” games in my mind. Like, they are, obviously, but they’re not what spring to mind when I think of an Assassin’s Creed game.

VINDICATION!

This is a stacked cast. James McAvoy wasn’t my first thought for Dream, but I can see it, especially after his turn on His Dark Materials. If he pulls it off, I’d very much be into him for the live action adaptation. I’m more excited about Kat Dennings as Death. That’s brilliant and also totally not who I was thinking.

Oh, boo.

IIRC it was filmed during an actual performance?

I’m happy to watch it on my TV. Really happy. But I would also definitely pay for a Fathom Events-style experience. I think most big ticket Broadway shows should try to film their original casts on stage. The subsequent and traveling shows will still sell, but it’d be good for archival purposes, IMO.

I loved Duncan, Frankie, and Elroy stepping up. Hickey I also really liked, but we were never going to get the stories we really needed from that character, sadly. Mike’s a meatier role for sure.
