It reminds me of an interview with Jennifer Lawrence in which she talked about her emotions when she accepted the role for Katniss Everdeen. Lawrence went from relatively unknown indie darling to superstar overnight because of The Hunger Games, and when she accepted the role she knew that would happen. I believe in

When I saw this story, I remember hearing about this concept a long time ago. I never believed it would actually be attempted. I’m impressed!

No word whether being sassy, ugly, whining, spicy, or not listening are punishable for the boys. My local playground says no.

The original set looks so well-lit compared to the remakes.

Doing a mod for free, for laughs, doesn’t seem like that big of an issue to me. It’s not a rejection, it’s just silly, like Animated Fart Shouts and Randy Savage Dragon mods in Skyrim. Nothing wrong with funny mods.

I’m glad to see they had soft-tipped markers and/or Arial Rounded fonts in the past.

The danger isn’t that our politicians aren’t educated. The more frightening thing is that they are — often with advanced degrees — then pretend not to be or act like they are not. Of the top Presidental Contenders in the U.S. for 2016:

To be fair, it’s a whole galaxy which largely lived under the rule of the Empire, which I would assume had control over the narrative. And which was largely staffed by normal, non-force using humans/aliens. By Luke’s time, there are basically two Jedi and two Sith left, and Luke’s showdown with Vader and the Emperor

Great and horrible is a really apt description of this book. It’s also told from Jack’s perspective, and equally terrifying. The truck scene!

I’m not a fan of motorcycles, but I don’t think passing in a no-passing zone quite holds up to assault with a vehicle.

I really don’t think so. Not for most people. Even in religions that have an afterlife — and not all of them do — many people still fear the afterlife and live knowing that this life, as it is, is limited. Even with reincarnation, or the promise of eternal happiness, this life that you know and love will end.

All I see...

This was a summer item? In... the Yukon or something?

I don’t think it would make any difference, to be honest with you. In my opinion, people use religion/spirituality/other beliefs etc. for good or ill, not the other way around. Sure, maybe this particular belief spurred this particular grave-robbing problem, but over all I don’t think we would be better off overall. A

True, but teachers would get fired over that kind of thing. They don’t even allow kids to read uncensored Huckleberry Finn or Anne Frank half the time.

If you can’t stomach the idea of a chewy banana peel, there’s always composting if you feel guilty about wasting it.

I used to be the same way. I thought getting to sleep before 11PM was impossible. It’s really not true. You can change your schedule. You may never be the kind of person who bounces out of bed chipper in the morning, but your sleep schedule isn’t set in stone. I go to bed at 10 PM or earlier nowadays. On weekends I

I admire Rousey’s tenacity and her spunk in a heavily male-dominated, machismo-laden sport, as well as her pure physical ability as an elite athlete. I don’t like everything she has said, though, including “do-nothing bitches.” I get what she was trying to say, but I don’t think she said it the right way.

Aw. I’m kinda sad to see how much less colorful kids toys have become in general. Lego included.

That’s a ton of money for something so hideous.
