Makes you realize how heavy Wikipedia is on information from the modern era. Post-1800 there is an explosion of entries and information.

Seems kind of neat, but two questions on the prototype:

That’s also a good point, although I think the team tried to apply more external motivation to force Drake into the deadliest situations in 2 and 3, instead of him choosing to be there. Not that it was necessarily convincing. In truth all three games require a hefty amount of suspension of disbelief to consider the

What bothered me about UC1 was the relentless mass murdering. I mean, yes, Nathan Drake is essentially a mass murderer in every game but in the first one he’s just remorseless, and he’s seeking it out because he wants fortune, he’s not even fighting against evil forces for some noble goal. I found it really off

The whole interview basically comes off like this:

Oh. My. Dentalord.

The best deal is if your friends have kids around the same time. I previously joined pregnancy boards and that was enough to know that mommy boards were going to be terrible.

“Do not speak to me like I’m stupid or beneath you in any way. I don’t care to speak to you anymore.”

I hadn’t even heard about that story until you mentioned it here. That’s just terrible, and Williams’ comments are illustrative of the culture that puts transgender people at so much greater risk.

I look forward to the standard non-apology for her comments after the inevitable backlash on Twitter.

I’ve learned to reserve judgement when it comes to Pixar and marketing. I posted this elsewhere, but look at this terrible trailer for Finding Nemo, which is why I didn’t want to see that movie at first:

To be fair, we don’t know if they necessarily died. But if they did — instaemotions.

This is my thought. It’s from the creators of Finding Nemo and Inside Out, two of the best entries from Pixar in my personal opinion.

To be fair, I thought the marketing for both Finding Nemo and Frozen made the movies look absolutely terrible, and yet they ended up being huge hits. I didn’t care for Frozen that much, but clearly I am in the minority. And Finding Nemo is a truly excellent piece of art.

Each manned Apollo mission had three astronauts: the Commander, the Command Module Pilot (CMP), and the Lunar Module Pilot (LMP). The CMP would stay with the command module (the conical-shaped return vessel) while the two other astronauts, the Commander and the LMP landed on the moon with the lunar module. I would

I kind of hope so, to be honest. Honestly I like romantic plots, but it would be refreshing to see a female lead who doesn’t have to have a strong romantic subplot as a part of her story. Luke didn’t (although he kissed his sister briefly), and his pseudo-romance with Leia was never a major part of his story in the

Gugu Mbatha-Raw is great, loved her in Belle. I would love to see what she can do in Star Wars.

I’m surprised Nolan’s Batman Begins didn’t make this list, tbh.

True story: when my kid slept for five straight hours the first time, I made my mother come over in the middle of the night to check to make sure my baby wasn’t dying/comatose/brain damaged. Oh the silliness of first time paranoid parents.
