What’s improper is for people to say something that is real, that did happen to a LOT (thousands) of people, is ‘fake’ and ‘cakewalk’ or mere sensationalism.

...how odd then that Audi was the only manufacturer with pedals 93% closer to each other than any other automobile ever manufactured in history, had caches of similar events worldwide, and immediately after the issue came to the forefront, changed their pedal placement to reflect worldwide standards.

Audi did in my view (and the view of many professionals) for a time, including after the “sensationalist journalism” place the pedals too close together.
