He had that effect on people.

I generally DGAF about celebrity/athlete deaths, because I am a cold dead robot, but I kept refreshing the page to see if this was some kind of stupid cruel joke—something I didn’t even do for Michael Jackson or Prince or Tom Petty or etc.

This sucks in a way that’s hard to put into words. Halladay is someone I’d have driven to Cooperstown to see his induction. A personal hero from back when I still had those.

Should’ve been you, Curt Schilling.

just eutonise them

Why are We The People supposed to ask/care about Taylor Swift’s thoughts on Trump and/or Charlottesville?

Ugh, I don’t know why I have to be that person, but if the fight was over saplings, leaves or grass clippings, it would be a flora (or floral) fracas. If it was over dog poop, squirrels, or angry raccoons, then it would be a fauna (or faunal) fracas. My personal suspicion is that this was a straight up anthro-fracas,

Harry Potter rant:

Yeah but that’s not how libel and defamation work, for someone to be engaged in that they have to make a definite allegation, not just “this gal’s got kind of a Nazi vibe.”

I remember the good old days of the internet, in the days of dial up modems when you were as suspicious as hell and didn’t’ believe a damn thing you read on it. Now some random comment on a YouTube video is taken as the gospel truth by someone & all but becomes news. Now a days we distrust the people we meet in real

Fatone would never land a guy like that.

Damn, that’s his husband? Way to go, Lance Bass.

So a minority of sex crime victims, around 10%, are even more marginalized and denied even peer support? Constantly told they liked it? And that’s not a problem? Right. Sure. Wow.

Slave ships can’t melt steel beams.

He was the kid who scribbled this on the side of school building:

Agreed. I appreciate her quest for justice, but she’s also helped create a situation that pressures her friends, the victims she’s seeking to protect, to come forward in order to exonerate her of defamation. It’s a flawed way to go about allyship.
