Epic, buying up every exclusive and banning you for trying to get a deal on it.

Steam sales have never been store-wide... they’ve always had publisher buy-in.

I think the controversy is less over the specific picks and more over how they were picked.

This is straight bullshit. Steam started as a patcher and copy protection for Valve games. Publishers came to them when they realized that Valve appeared to have found a solution for implementing anti-piracy measures that didn’t make players want to vomit. That’s how it went. Valve never went on a great purchasing

But unionization is as much about leverage as it is specific workplace issues.

Valve has to have a ton of overhead with all the servers they run, the constant updates from security threats, the market, VR, the community, and countless other things that Epic store does not have. I find it crazy that it even has to be mentioned.

1.) Epic is currently utilizing timed exclusives to build their brand. It was not that long ago Microsoft was doing the same thing to bolster Xbox One sales and was highly criticized for it. Yet here Epic is fine.

We live in a world where Hollow Knight exists, it’s gonna be hard to compete with the current king of Metroidvania, even if you're one of the people who invented the genre.

I have no desire to play DF, I just don’t have the time and energy to get to the point of enjoying story generators, but I’ll definitely buy it because these guys deserve it. So much respect for what they have created even though it’s not for me.
