On the flip side, yet another external developer named Joshua Mosqueira took the helm of the Diablo III dev team post release and helped create Reaper of Souls, which is considered a good game. He also worked on Company of Heroes coincidentally enough.

At this rate, the Wii U will share the same fate as the Gamecube: All of its great hidden gems are being ported to other systems, leaving owners of the console very few games that are still truly exclusive to the platform.

The original is perfect. Just like Pokemon, it is the quintessential upbeat kids show with cool monster partners.

I just rewatched the video in question, and he never said that he personally hates backtracking. He did, however, pointed out that the game isn’t 100% backtracking friendly, so finding the twelve artifacts in particular isn’t fun because you need most of your gear just to access them.

Wow Jason, not only are you delaying a game that was already being released almost three years ago, now you’re even moving console exclusives to the PC. Is there anything you can’t do?

He also pulled the same trick with Doom 2016 at AGDQ 2017:

The news article linked to the Japanese version of the announcement, and google translate gave me the same term. Interesting that they would phrase it differently in the English-language one.

The term “capital tie-in” in this context means that shares were being bought. The real question now is how big the percentage of shares are.

For starters, less electricity usage means less huge electricity bill. It’s better for the environment, too.
Even in sleep mode, the hardware is being used and will wear down.
In case the electricity is completely gone due to a storm or whatever else, it is safer to have shut down the devices in the first place.

Do you know what the Switch really needs? Being able to turn-off the console while it’s docked. There is a menu with that option, but it only shows up when you hold down the power button on the device itself. You can’t bring that menu up while using the controller or joycons.

Fine, I haven’t read the whole article. Since this was about an artists’s work, I figured I can just read the first paragraph and admire the art otherwise.

I’m making my way through Deus Ex: Mankind Divided right now. I got myself a new PC to finally run the game, so here I am now!
(The game runs fine enough in terms of FPS, but it requires quite the hardware power. Also it crashes on loading screens quite a few times).

That gives me Citadel vibes from Mass Effect. I don’t know if that image inspired BioWare or not, but it’s great to see that a scenery like this lives on in a video game.

The Skyrim trailer remains my all-time favorite trailer. While I don’t think every trailer needs to be in sync with every beat of the music, in this case it’s just perfect. It shows both cutscenes made just for this trailer, but also genuine gameplay. And the beginning and end are just perfect.

Let’s not kid ourselves: Fans hate the game because it’s not a traditional JRPG.

The way I see it, Mass Effect 1-3 was about Shepard’s journey, but in the end the reapers were still holding all the cards. They could never truly be stopped, even in the best-case scenario the military strength of all the races wasn’t enough.

I think Nier: Automata can be seen as a game whose ultimate message (if you made it to the ending) is that collaboration and hope are possible in this otherwise depressing world (as well as this otherwise depressing video game).

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from video games, it’s that bears are one of the toughest enemies around. My personal favorite is Dragon Age: Inquisition’s bear from the Hinterlands. At first you’re like “I can handle it”, but before you know it, it’s like two levels higher than you - and that was on easy mode.

For those of you who don’t know, Grandia originally was released on the Sega Saturn, and only received a PlayStation 1 port afterwards. The West only got the PS1 version, though.
