[the preceding dialogue consists of Derek Jeter talking to himself in front of a mirror while Dire Straits plays in the background]

Oddly enough, it was Jeopardy’s sister show.

This isn’t the first time a hard “R” has gotten a white guy in trouble.

I can’t wait to haul ice from Saturn’s rings for Pur’N’Kleen!

I am so glad to be alive now, and not during the space colonization era. I agree, 99% of people will be literal slaves to corporations at that point.

I immediately thought of the Belt. You don’t even need to look to fiction though. The insanely inhospitable places that humans live even on Earth is a sign that no matter how objectively awful a place is, if it is possible to live there, some crazy people will decide it is worth it for whatever pittance the land or

Sooner or later some corporation will realize that they can produce X thing in space or on a different planet/moon so efficiently that it is worth the insane costs and dangers. And of course people will have to physically live nearby to tend to the factories/forges/whatever and even though life may suck, eventually

It’s nice to see Bills fans support people who aren’t bills fans.

This would be fantastic, but each of the involved parties (IIHF, IOC, NHL, CHL) is far, far, far too petty to ever let that happen.

I lost all respect for McCarthy years ago when he blamed a playoff loss on a mistake by a special teamer rather than his own late game play-calling cowardice.

They’ve had two of the greatest quarterbacks the game has ever seen and have two championships. This organization has been a luckier version of the Lions with their failure to capitalize on Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson.

Not sure which is better...the reactions of the Bills fans or the sweet “Mexico is the Shit” jacket

Thank you for writing this and the When Can I say I’ll be Alone Forever article! People are continually sold the lie that if they just try A,B,C then everything will fall into place and they’ll meet someone. The reality is too scary. It’s hard, love is fucking mean. And really great people sometimes never partner up,

“What I’ve actually learned is that the work of keeping your path clear is a continual process, one so all-consuming that you may not ever have the time to look up and see where you’re going”

It is not just reporters. It snows pretty much every year in Chicago, and yet the first time it happens each November or December, everybody acts like they have lived their entire lives in Australia. Especially the drivers. We got a half inch of snow a few weeks ago and it tripled my commute for no reason at all.

Filling segments with science!? This is why ESPN is losing the conservatives.

Update from the Future: It’s 2018 and the Browns turned the corner, tripped, and fell into a woodchipper.

Seriously. Not sure what else they expected him to do. It’s like handing me a nudey mag and then shaming me for looking at it.

My favorite thing I just found out about Rabbit Maranville is that he once committed 65 errors in a season and still finished with a fielding percentage above league average

What else could he have done? Hoffman was the one who kept returning to it, but Oliver took the heat for “hijacking” the event. Hoffman could have admitted he is and was a powerful man. He could have apologized in a way that didn’t have conditions, and not claim that his actions were not indicative of who he is. He
