If those people even still exist. If Trump fades from the public (Flying Spaghetti Monster willing), so does his cult, right? I know he won’t go quickly, or quietly, but at some point him raging from the sidelines will bore people. Or if he tries running again in 2024, I’d hope he’d lose.

I do think there’s a divide between your average GOP who is happy to put up with Trump’s facsicm to be “winning” and the True Trumpies. Anecdotally, there are people I know who are the former who believe in the election fraud bs because the entirety of the GOP has embraced it. Maybe I’m being an optimist, but since Read more

I think this is a chicken/egg thing though. If the GOP leadership put on their big boy pants and called our Trump, then a lot less of their electorate would believe the claims. But since they are silent, the masses just assume it’s true.

Certainly starring roles in “Booksmart” and the incredible “Unbelievable” could be (and was reported as) the main reason for it, but seeing Dever in this role, I wonder if there was more to her not wanting to return to “Last Man Standing” then just she got busy with other stuff.

Here’s the twist: Reynolds had it stolen. This was all guerrilla marketing for his shitty gin.

Not OP, but “Boy on the Bridge” didn’t do it for me. I enjoyed the world that Carey built, but was meh on the overall story. Liked his lastest, “Book of Koli” a lot though. Interested to see where that one is going, as I read it was the first in a trilogy.

I tore through the book in less than a day when I was on vacation and I thought it was one of the most terrifying books I’ve read. Never saw the movie. Why watch them fuck with something I love?

Me: Cancel culture doesn’t exist, people who have been “cancelled” still have access to the public.

The two are CLEARLY related. One said he should be put to death, the other...sees him continuing to publish (his latest came out less than a year ago).

That’s exactly the point. Cancel culture doesn’t exist. These (mostly) thin-skinned people just feel they shouldn’t be criticized. It’s such a lame take.

I was one of those people! Armada was truly a pile of dogshit that failed in every single goddamn way and one of the few books that I’ve read that I truly feel regret for having opened up.

Kaepernick wouldn’t be unique in being a QB who came back from a multi-year layoff though. Josh Johnson was out of the league for almost 5 years and managed to get 3 starts with Washington when they needed a QB.

Is Kaep a starting QB? Probably not after all this time. But there’s a fair chance that he’d be a decent Read more

That’s always been Shapiro’s shtick. He defends Trump but just lightly scolds him enough for the least important of his shit that he gets to claim not to be a Trumper through and through. So he gets to “both sides” it and then he gets “profiles in courage” from lame ass media types.

I bring up this interview everytime shit like this gets mentioned. (many) Conservatives have given up on facts because the facts don’t back up what they want to believe. See Gingrich’s ridiculous interview from the 2016 GOP Convention:

As someone with a Kindle Unlimited subscription who gives those little guys a chance, I have to say there is so much crap to weed through. Even books with 500+ reviews that are overwhelmingly positive can be absolutely terrible. Sure, so can “hard” copy books (I’ve read some real stinkers over the years, no question), Read more
