I just made a dairy free lasagna using a cashew “ricotta”. I have a dairy intolerance (casein-the milk protein, not lactose) and was missing lasagna. It came out AWESOME. I am so happy with it. I put some veg in it and some Itslian sausage. Even my diehard dairy enthusiast husband loved it.

YES! That was me too. I used the app My Fitness Pal and counted calories for about 6 months...just long enough where I got a better idea of what an adequate (for me) portion size looked like.

I lost 30 pounds 5 years ago and have kept it off. Honestly, your eating habits are what you need to focus on. Exercise for general health but you need to focus on what goes in your mouth if you want to lose weight. An hour of cardio will burn off what... A can of Coke? The math doesn’t add up.

YES. I love Pilates. I am in my late 30s, do 2 Pilates classes a week, and am in the best shape of my life (so strong!). If you have a good teacher, they can work around most physical limitations.

Due to my subpar performance on NYE (2 martinis and 1 beer over the course of 5 hours), I am saying BRING IT tonight. I'm hitting the Cabernet with gusto this evening.

STOP TEASING ME LIKE THAT! I've been a daily reader and occasional commenter forever.

Andre is rocking his drug rug like it is 1993.

JODY HiGHROLLER, i HAVE NO iDEA WHO YOU ARE BUT i DO KNOW i NEiTHER WANT NOR NEED YOUR ADViCES.

Actually, I’m one of those eating disordered skinny people you detest. At least get your insults right. JEEZ it’s like I have to do everything around here...

You joke that size 00 should be called “I never eat.” It’s funny to pick on the skinnies, amirite? What if we call size 16 “put down the Cheetos”? Or how about we call size 20 “I don’t know what portion control means”? Can you not see why it is offensive?

If you are so concerned about the pressure on young girls regarding their weight, then why are you judging the weight of other women in an unhealthy manner? Be part of the solution, not just another person adding to the pile-on of women and their weight.

Fun fact: not all thin people have eating disorders.

I entered a Talbots store for the first time this summer, after being unable to find a dress for an event I had to attend. Granted, I am in my late 30s and was the youngest one in the store by far, but damn if they didn’t have a few cute things. There were definitely some matronly items that I wouldn’t touch but there

Same here (late 30s, professional, tend towards more classic clothing). J Crew is crap. Banana Republic has some nice stuff but still no better quality than the Gap- I’ll only purchase with a 40% discount. I love Anthropologie and actually find well made clothing there. However, full retail is out of my budget so I

Dear J. Crew,

I have cool undertones, also classified as a “winter.” These colors are in my “can wear” column. BRING ON THE SERENITY, BITCHES!

IMO, this is the only one true Riff Raff.

I find Old Navy athletic/lounge gear to run huge. Always size down if you are debating sizes.

Did you read the menu? IHOP put pumpkin spice in that shit. People, we need to band together and stop this all out assault coming from Big Pumpkin. First, our lattes. Then our M&Ms. Now our waffles??

Sorels run true to size in my experience. I am always a size 9 (US) and my Sorel size 9s fit me well. The model I have (Joan of Arctic) is a little wide but I don’t mind since I usually wear thick socks with them.
