Agreed; it’s weird take to say he was blaming his kids. It really just seems like he was providing an honest, clinical inventory of the factors that weighed into his decisional process in that moment.

To me it isn’t as much that he’s blaming his marriage and kids as he is saying he was depressed and unhappy and using alcohol as a way to avoid making difficult decisions regarding his marriage. I’m not sure “don’t get into a relationship for at least one year into your recovery” is very good advice. What if you meet a great and supportive person who you have a mutual attraction with? You’re supposed to forego a potentially healthy and constructive relationship for an arbitrary amount of time for reasons?

I don’t understand the fascination with denigrating Harry and Meghan. Obviously the British media gleefully tears down Meghan and holds her responsible for all the monarchy’s failures since ever. Why does the US have to join in? Yes, they are privileged but they’re also under a fucking microscope.
