Hahaha fair enough. It would have been hailed as genius in the mid-90s then perhaps fairly pilloried in retrospect. 

I think the ending was too comforting. I honestly felt that it should have ended with her decsending in the capsule having made her peace with whether she was going to make it back or not and a fade to white leaving it open as to whether she made it down safely or the capsule burnt up on entry.

I haven’t seen the film but by and large I’ve enjoyed the actual songs from the soundtrack (it’s hard to judge the shorter incidental pieces without seeing them in the context of the scenes they were intended to score). That’s what really winds me up, if they’d got a neat hook that would work for that specific story or a specific angle for a story they wanted to tell then fine, do it. Whilst I am looking sort of looking forward to this, I’m so desperate to see Captain Marvel/IW p2 this sort of feels like being placed in a holding pattern until we can complete the journey started by IW p1.

After the falling ratings and the extra episode the gave them for season 2 that I was convinced had been granted to wrap things up I was convinced it was getting cancelled. Absolutely overjoyed by the news. Can’t wait to see what utter weirdness they cook up for season 3.
