You keep saying that these are difficult to repair and about things going wrong with them, but do you have any actual, real-world experience with them? I used to hear that all the time about these and the TR-7s, but as a kid, thought they were cool nonetheless. Ended up getting one, then a second one as an adult. One

I politely think you’re missing the point of why you’d buy this car.

Only if you want to.

If you’re drag racing a Triumph TR8, you’re likely doing it wrong.

Is there a way I can make money on all the Prince of Darkness, warm beer, looks great on a tow truck, etc. comments from people who want to argue after I note that I have 300k MGB - bought in 1993 - which has never had one electrical problem, other than when I replaced the fuel pump with a Mitsubishi unit?

The TR7 feels altogether more modern and different than the old British sports cars it replaced, but the early ones missed the part about being reliable like a modern car. By all reports that was pretty well sorted out when the TR8s were made, but the damage to the reputation was done, and, though a pretty great car

The first car I ever bought, back when we bought cars based on 40 words in a printed newspaper, and it ruined me for average cars ever since. It’s been a very long time, and I still remember the first time I caught this view as the garage door came open. As I think back along the list of cars that are no longer mine,

*whispers* Psst! Read to the end!

Patty pat pat, read the whole damn article 😂

The much smaller less plush 2007 Mustang GT did 0-60 in 5.1-5.8 depending where you get the number. We could also talk about the brand new 2010 Mustang boat anchors that came in 4.0L or 4.0L varieties.

Eat shit, you deplorable fuckstain.

I suspect that the “robotaxi” we saw was really just a reworking of the Model 2 prototype that Tesla cancelled a few months ago; which means that at some point it had a steering wheel and pedals.

Hi. Gen X here. This entire article is why Boomers say Millennials are dipshits.

Me: He promoted white supremacy and helped facilitate a genocide, both of which are bad.

You: You’re just a leftist who hates everyone who is successful.

No one who ignores Zuck promoting white supremacy and helping facilitate genocide but still wants to know why you don’t like the guy is asking in good faith or worth arguing with.

Great taste in car.

I don’t know if posting this take on Jalopnik dot com should be considered brave or asking for it, but best of luck to you. You’re gonna need it.
