Its not really a wagon, but whats your thoughts on the Rivian R3?  Seems like itll be as close as we get for a while to that.

Not true. One of the best budget cars available, the Corolla, coming in at $23k, gets really good gas milage up to 47MPG. The Mirage, which was under $20k had 39 average combined MPG.

For sure that happens to me ALL THE TIME. Wait, that hasn’t happened to me, in, ummm, like ever? Maybe 10+ years ago and I don’t remember?

I mean, if you don’t do any research, one could imagine that you might be correct. But the Prius, the Efficient Car Poster Boy, is well below both mean and median new car prices. So are the Accord Hybrid, Civic Hybrid, Camry Hybrid, Corolla Hybrid. All with 50+ MPG. The efficient cars are absolutely not more expensive

This is a psychological issue not a practical one. You get to fill your car at home and have anywhere from 100 to 300 miles to exploit daily. Do you really think you will find yourself in a dangerous part of town after driving around for 300 miles in one day?

Conversely, 4 minutes of charging might get you out of that sketch part of town.  Also, better planning might have completely avoided your scenario.

I’d love to have that feature back. No matter what I do, I can’t get the displays or the center screen to go dark enough at night.

The Aztec was brilliant.

As much as I hate to give the many credit, I do like how Tesla’s watch themselves when parked and have that Dog mode so you can leave your pooch in there for a few minutes. However, I’d still never buy one of those swasticars, new or used.

My wife and I test drove one last week and man, I really did not like it. The seats are some of the worst I’ve ever been in, materials are bad, screen layout is unintuitive, ride quality and road noise were not good, and the one-pedal driving way too aggressive. The most concerning part about the latter was that you

The driver then drove around the gates”

While individual SUVs and trucks have sold well, they as a vehicle class didn’t make up the majority of vehicles sold in the US until last decade:

“Yes”. Manufactures did a great job marketing larger vehicles that had a higher profit margin, and consumers bought them in such quantities that the profit margin for smaller cars narrowed to the point that they made little to no financial sense for some manufacturers to keep making them. So, both.

That only matters if you want to resell it quickly.

Are you asking why a perpetual energy machine doesn’t exist?

Police did release a video of the driver:

Damn. You’re right. Who’s gonna get the fly first?

With profuse apologies I nominate the Murano CrossCabrio.
