Much cooler especially if it had the B18C putting down 200hp.
I almost upgraded to the S2000 but missed the extra cabin and trunk space too much. (Also the gas mileage hit seemed weird.)
First time I saw one I thought it was stupid and said to a friend you could just get a hatchback for the same price. Fifteen years later I needed a commuter when gas neared the $5 a gallon range and looked at so may 90's civics in poor shape. Stumbled on upon a Del Sol for $2,700 bucks and was happy with the head room…
Cool mechanics but lame framed windows on the doors.
You could buy several Del Sols for the price of that Porsche top tho’.
If you want fun get the DOHC model/trim. If you want practical commuter just get the Si so you don’t have to pay for premium gas. As long as you get the later Si or VTEC edition they handle well stock. Slap on some Koni Yellows and they are even more fun to drive in the corners.
Crappy stock tires?
That’s not dumb... it’s a 3d “to do” mod checklist.
And yet the one off vehicle they decide to actually mod for speed was in fact their SUV so the irony still holds.
Isn’t just a bit weird that some 70's motorhomes get 12mpg while a forty years newer much smaller pickup gets about the same.
