The “gambling” definition gets complicated, unfortunately, as many countries define gambling by having both money going in and random money (or an equivalent) going out.
I’ll leave the “is it gambling?” question to the side, as that’s a bit more complicated. I guess I’m wondering where games like Magic: The Gathering and Hearthstone would fit, or if they would have to be banned too.
Then that’s a start. I’m more thinking about where the line is between “game that monetizes random rewards for purchases” and “game behavior that is exploitative.”
It’s just time to start regulating loot box & gacha mechanics. It’s time to get some decent psychological research on the subject to help determine what elements of the loot box mechanism are harmful and victimize the susceptible.
It was at the full moon when he originally purchased it, and werewolves aren’t really known for their great reasoning skills.
“The Last of Y’all”
Talking about a show with friends/coworkers, reading weekly reviews and recaps, enjoying a show in smaller doses over a long period: these can all be really enjoyable. But binging doesn’t really play nicely for those things.
That’s also accessible with weekly releases to people who are patient enough to wait for the last episodes. I watched several seasons of Game of Thrones following that model, subscribing for just the one month at the end of the season.
Now compare that to not having the technology at all. Or to have to wait several years longer before not-for-profit and tax-based funding has grown enough to fund its research.
So the trouble is the third-party management from Keywords Studios. Much will depend on whether *their* contract with Bioware shifts at all to adjust for whatever the union is asking for.
Depends on the timing of the setting. Dolores has been operating for several decades.
I actually quite enjoyed the third season, but it didn’t feel like Westworld so much as a new high-concept setting entirely. It reminded me much more of Ghost in the Shell: SAC.
“There’s also no explanation for why Vince Vance is bringing this lawsuit in 2022”
If they’re promising to voluntarily recognize unions without a vote, that’s about as union-friendly as a company can get.
Factories often have required overtime policies (especially when understaffed), though the employees are compensated at the time-and-a-half wage rate.
So collectible cards were challenged as gambling, but unfortunately the case ended prematurely due to a separate issue before any legal precedent could be enshrined to determine whether they counted as gambling.
Naw, not remotely close.
Is the fan speed constant while it’s on?
The makeup and hair in the trailer makes a pretty significant difference. They don’t exactly the same, but it’s about as close as any biopic gets (with the exception of Straight Outta Compton, where his son was the actor).
