Luckily the PS1 compatibility remained even after they discontinued the PS2 support, but it’s a pain every time they require a brand new game library rather than making the new system compatible.

I like digital games in general, but Nintendo’s handling of digital ownership is a bit unwieldy, especially when there are multiple systems and accounts in a household. Sometimes it’s less hassle to buy the physical instead.

Metroid Prime is an entry point. The Prime games were like a branching sub-series in the Metroid franchise. They control very differently from the 2D titles, and Prime’s story doesn’t require a lot of backstory to understand.

Paradox’s launcher checks for updates and installs those and also gives you an interface for turning on and off addons. It’s a practical software tool.

For what it’s worth, the pixel remaster series plays really well on a mobile device. I’ve played three of the six from start to finish and have dabbled in the others too.

Kinda looks to me more like an unfinished 3D interior model that didn’t get removed rather than an intentional inclusion.

There are a few credible uses, but they’re super-duper niche and not used widely yet. Some global shipping companies have started using a blockchain-based system to allow logistics to be managed in a distributed fashion, for instance.

Except nearly everything that has happened in this country’s government, for good or ill, has been the indirect result of votes (particularly in the last hundred years).

Actually, my guess is that the series is giving him a lot of anxiety. We might get one more book, but I doubt he’ll ever finish the entire epic.

I’m not sure she actually swapped places with Captain Marvel. That might be what’s implied there, but there’s a whole issue of the comics where she inadvertently gets stuck with Carol Danvers’ appearance.

Here the currency is really just fame. Streamers don’t give away $8000 machines to J. Random Richguy.

Out of curiosity, what is this action that goes beyond voting that you think will be effective?

It’s an expansion akin to an MMO expansion rather than a more typical addon-like expansion.

They’ve announced the travel reimbursement as an employee benefit, which means that it’s already had a budget approved.

I suspect it will be the source of multiple flashbacks.

Right, which is why Fahrenheit works a bit better for everyday use. You get the extra precision without the linguistic baggage of communicating decimal degrees.

You’d be surprised. People do tend to conceptualize whole numbers better.

It doesn’t fail, but Fahrenheit provides more whole numbers for people to use to describe outdoor weather typical for human life, allowing for subtlety without having to throw in decimal points.

And that’s a fantastic system for a laboratory. For outdoor human weather, there’s a much smaller range of numbers available.

Imperial has a lot of basis in everyday objects and concepts. It wasn’t designed with formal standardization in mind, but without having that standard (and its pitfalls) to compare to, metric would never have come along.
