I think the whole conversation would be more honest if Ubisoft said it wasn’t making a *partisan* statement. It’s hard not to be political, but not every political discussion or stance is automatically an advocacy for a specific party affiliation.

It lets them engage in whataboutism, but the CCP‘ s current actions with regard to the Uighurs are a step above. A recent report commissioned by the UN found evidence of genocide along with multiple violations of the Geneva Code.

Being that this was an alpha test, and they’re really looking for folks to help find bugs with the build as-is... maybe modding/cracking the game right now is a poor call.

Part of this appears to be Discord wanting to list themselves under a different age bracket in the App Store. They were fairly recently bumped up to 17+, and I wonder if they saw a dip in revenue or new user enrollment from iOS that correlated with that change.

Only impacts the app. Browser is unaffected.

It’s definitely a scheme, but not a pyramid scheme.

While they made the final call, it appears from the article that they hired an outside firm and followed their recommendation.

If that person used their winnings to buy a 10% share of the team, then he or she probably would be brought in to take part in the leadership, at least to some extent.
